Discover domain Het Warredal

Domain Het Warredal is a 13-hectare area of beautiful nature, centred around the equestrian centre of the Schelfhout family, and just a 10-minute drive from Maaseik. In the valley you will find a lovely swimming pond (including beach!), the horse stables, ponies and other small animals such as goats and chickens. From there several paths lead up to a higher part of the domain, where Cosy Cabins are hidden in a beautiful forest.
Het Warredal is a true green gem. With an on-site Adventure Park, horses, ponies and other little animals, beautiful walking and cycling paths in the surrounddings - there are lots of activities to do for both young and old!

In the middle of domain Het Warredal lies the training center for the horses. Needless to say, it’s a prime location for horseback riding, for both beginners and experienced equestrians. Though your children might be more interested in riding or feeding the ponies.

Reconnecting to nature

Reconnecting to nature
Het Warredal is the ideal location to relax for a few days, to slow down and reconnect to pure nature. Which is not only important for all those busy-as-a-bee adults out there, but also for our children. They too have become increasingly alienated from nature the last few decades. Did you know, for example, that the forest air smells different in winter and summer? And that there’s also a difference between morning and afternoon? No? Time to reconnect to nature then! And there’s no place like Het Warredal to do so.

Treetop trail
Do you like a little extra adventure? So do we! That’s why there's a huge treetop trail on site, where you can climb between the trees - in a well secured way, of course. And we also built a zipline, with a panoramic view over the area. We do ask you to pre-book the Adventure Park, it will only be opened when there's a minimum of 8 persons. But don't worry - if you're with less than 8 persons then you are most welcome to join another group. Note that the Adventure Park is closed between November and mid-March.
