Hot spiced apple cider
Nothing warms the soul quite like a mug of hot spiced apple cider.
Ingredients:
1 liter of fresh apple juice
2 cinnamon sticks
4 cloves
1 orange, sliced
1 tablespoon of honey (optional)
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
Heat over medium heat until steaming but not boiling.
Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Strain and serve hot with a cinnamon stick for garnish.
Comforting vegetable stew
This wholesome dish is perfect for warming up after a winter walk.
Ingredients:
2 carrots, diced
1 large potato, cubed
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 liter vegetable stock
1 can of chickpeas, drained
Fresh thyme and bay leaves
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Heat oil in a large pot and sauté the onion and garlic.
Add carrots and potatoes, cooking for 5 minutes.
Pour in vegetable stock, add herbs, and simmer for 25 minutes.
Stir in chickpeas and cook for an additional 10 minutes.

Instructions:
Melt the soy wax in a double boiler.
Once melted, remove from heat and stir in essential oils.
Place a wick in the center of each jar.
Pour the wax into the jars, holding the wick in place.
Allow to cool and set for 24 hours before trimming the wick.

Materials:
Pinecones
Soy or beeswax
Twine

Instructions:
Melt the wax in a double boiler.
