Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
  2. Heat over medium heat until steaming but not boiling.
  3. Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Strain and serve hot with a cinnamon stick for garnish.

Comforting vegetable stew

This wholesome dish is perfect for warming up after a winter walk.

Ingredients:

  1. Heat oil in a large pot and sauté the onion and garlic.
  2. Add carrots and potatoes, cooking for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in vegetable stock, add herbs, and simmer for 25 minutes.
  4. Stir in chickpeas and cook for an additional 10 minutes.

  1. Melt the soy wax in a double boiler.
  2. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in essential oils.
  3. Place a wick in the center of each jar.
  4. Pour the wax into the jars, holding the wick in place.
  5. Allow to cool and set for 24 hours before trimming the wick.

Natural pinecone fire starters

These fire starters make lighting a winter fire easy and add a festive touch.

  1. Melt the wax in a double boiler.
  2. Dip each pinecone in the wax, ensuring it is fully coated.
  3. Allow to dry on parchment paper.
  4. Wrap twine around the base for easy lighting.
  5. Use to start your next cozy cabin or home fire.
